The Sentinel tank was a cruiser tank designed in Australia in World War II in response to the threat of Japan expanding the Pacific War and the feared Japanese invasion of Australia. It was the first tank to be built with a hull cast as a single piece, and the only tank to be produced in quantity in Australia. The 66 Sentinels that were built never saw action as Australia's armored divisions had been equipped by that time with Lend Lease British and American tanks.
This model is the first in the new series Australia Invaded which deals with an alternate history where the Imperial Japanese Army has conquered New Guinea, the Imperial Japanese Navy has cut Australia off from US supply, and the southern expansion continues unabated.
