FYI - The first Shermans the Marines were issued were diesels because navy fuel stock was diesel and they thought adding gas to the supply line was too big a hassle. These were phased out rather quickly because the cost of specialized production was too high. The diesel Shermans have some slight differences that only the bolt counters would argue about. The M4A3 is what the Marines were running in the last years of the war. You can modify your Sherman with field expedient wood sides to ward off magnetic mines to make them even more accurate for Pacific War.
